GIRLFRIENDS IN YOUR LIFE

When I was little, I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
and then I started to become a woman, and then I found out that if you
allow your heart to open up, you will see the best in many friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man,
another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mum,
another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.

One friend will say let's pray together, another let's cry together,
another let's fight together, another let's walk away together.

One friend will meet your spiritual need, another your shoe fetish,
another your love for a good laugh, another will be with you in your
season of confusion, another will be your clarifier, another the wind
beneath your wings, another your mentor.

But whatever their assignment in your life, on whatever the occasion, on
whatever the day, or wherever you need them, whether to meet you with
their gym shoes on and hair pulled back, or to hold you back from making
a complete fool of yourself ........ those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, but for many it's wrapped up in
several. One from 7th grade, one from high school, several from the
college years, a couple from old jobs, on some days your mother, on
others your sisters, and on some days your daughters.

Whether they've been there 20 minutes or 20 years, let the women in your life know they
make a difference.

MV WaveBreaker (Tioman - Aur - Dayang - Bahara)

Night 1

Friday was hectic for me (and am sure for everyone else as well). And KL was pouring cats and dogs and some parts of KL was flooded. Original plan to meet up at KL Sentral was quashed as everyone was running late. Finally the whole gang met up at Seremban R&R at about 10. The journey from KL to Rompin was "interesting". Dont remember the exact name of the places we passed by but I do recall Bahau, Kuala Pilah and all... ;-)

At about 2 am we reached this place where we had midnight "snack". The guys actually ate nasi!! Tsk tsk tsk....

Finally, close to 4 am we reached Rompin's Seri Malaysia where Joe the boatman met up with us. Joe took us all to the "marina".. errrr it's actually this place where the nelayans unload their catch and oh it smells so very the fishy (and I mean fish smell).

To my horror, as the tide was low, we had to climb down ala abselling! Literally we had to use rope to get to the boat... Boo hoo hoo! My jetty-phobia kicked in. And I was ready to cry.. and run to the car ;'-(.

Thankfully, the rest helped me and the other girls to safely board the boat.. sniff sniff... thank you guys ;-)))

I "checked-in" into my bunk and unloaded the gear and all... and got ready to go to bed. My bed was the upper-bunk and it overlooked the sea..... I love my tiny sempit bunk... it was home for 3 nights.. ;-)

To be continued..........

The Drifter is back.........

Once upon a time, Pink-Fins loved to write and ramble. One day she just drifted away. Somehow, she missed musing on her adventures.. so she's decided to write again... for herself and not for others...... as a wise friend with Sheer Thoughts has put it:

"Express Yourself
A BLOG IS FOR FREE EXPRESSION
NOT GOOD IMPRESSION...
It's a sad day when a blogger decides to stop writing"

Pink-fins is home....
